Willy Vlautin was the first author that ReadRollShow interviewed at Wordstock 2010. His bad jobs -- one in particular, the first he describes, for the veterinarian -- convinced us to explore the topic of crappy employment further. The very last to visit was Steve Almond, who found similarities between the ethically challenged employment of his youth and professional writing that wrapped up our modest inquiry more cleanly than we'd have imagined possible.
willy Vlautin comes across as just such a nice, interesting down to earth guy (the whole band seem pretty down to earth). A pleasure to meet and chat to at gigs and very generous with his time. Loving the new stuff Willy. Looking forward to watching them tomorrow in Leeds, they are just amazing live.
