The University of New Mexico soccer player suspended indefinitely for rough play during a match November 5th, is speaking out for the first time, saying she deeply regrets her actions and is seeing a psychologist. (Nov. 19)

this has nothing to do with male or female if a player grabed pallamalu's hair and snaped him to the ground like that it would be all over the news. i can bet this is not the first time inncedents like this have happened with this girl and her comments that she made make her seem even more unstable to me. a lifetime ban should be enforced along with criminal charges. soccer is a rough sport most americans dont think it is as bad as it really is but this isnt rough this was assault!

Opie your retarded. The girl was playing soccer and she just got way into the game. The blame should be on the officiating, who were not able to catch any of the numerous fouls she committed. And she committed a bunch. I bet before the game all the coaches were screaming at the girls to play with all there might, to kick ass and take names. And she does. Than you all shun her like she is a monster and scare the poor girl into therapy. Stop being such fags.

i know that a lot of people here probably play soccer as well as me, but i knew a girl who was on my team, and the next year she was in the same league as me (but separate teams) and she got seriously hurt from a player that was too aggressive and she couldn't play the rest of the season so I'm not taking this lightly, and I do think that this fair, and a big deal.

Yeah! We all know that punching people in the back and dragging them to the ground by their hair, without provocation, is a normal part of sports. And they certainly don't constitute criminal assault!
