This resource, designed for Level 3 students, makes research methods accessible in a health context. The DVD is split into three bite-sized films which illustrate why researchers use particular methods and what the advantages and limitations of each method are. Questionnaire Surveys illustrates the use of questionnaire surveys in exploring the relationship between social background and health behavior; Using Interview Methods shows interviews being used to understand the role that smoking plays in the lives of the young working class; and Observational Research looks at the use of participant observation research to identify the potentially harmful, as well as beneficial, effects of gym culture.
