Why is the American car industry dying? Is it luck? Or is it due to their own incompetance, and their own inferior product? I want to buy American, but I am a capitalist, the American automotive industry needs to die off, and make room for companies like Aptera whose innovation, and quality will win it's place at the forefront.

If you get a car that gets 330 mpg and stop driving the one that gets 15 mpg you will use 22 times less gas. It's not like if you get a car you will drive your old car at the same time as the new one. It would be nice if your comment was constructive by telling people an alternative solution like riding their bikes or something. I don't think that driving has a big overall effect on global warming as volcanoes, but I would rather not be paying money for gas to the middle east.

Big3 Detroit makes everyone believes we need them even if all 3 goes down consumers still have plenty of choices

the bailout money is better served given to small innovative companies like this
