Welcome to the Videos é o terceiro VHS/DVD da banda Guns N' Roses, porém, como todos os filmes do Guns N' Roses, foi lançado pela Geffen, contra a vontade de Axl e Slash, em 1998.
Mostra quase todos os videoclipes da banda, desde "Welcome to the Jungle" até a "Since I Don't Have You".
Atualmente, este VHS/DVD ultrapassou as 5 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo.
O lançamento em DVD ocorreu em 2002, contra a vontade de Axl Rose, pra variar.
A música surgiu por acidente. Slash, Duff e Izzy estavam sentados na sala de estar perto da lareira (eles não tinham tv), onde Slash se encontrava tocando a introdução de "Sweet Child O' Mine", enquanto Izzy e Duffy tocavam os acordes por trás dela. Axl estava no andar de cima, em seu quarto, e ao ouvi-los, começou a escrever a letra. Slash classificava aquela sequência de guitarra como um "exercício pessoal meio idiota", mas para sua surpresa, no dia seguinte, quando estavam ensaiando no Burbank Studios (fazendo uma pré-produção), Axl quis que tocassem novamente o que estavam tocando na noite anterior. Logo, ela se transformou em uma música, e ao ser lançada fez o maior sucesso.
Welcome to the Videos is the third VHS / DVD of the band Guns N 'Roses, but, like all films of Guns N' Roses, was released by Geffen, against the wishes of Axl and Slash in 1998.
Shows almost every music video from "Welcome to the Jungle" to "Since I Do not Have You."
Currently, this VHS / DVD surpassed the 5 million copies worldwide.
The DVD release was in 2002, against the wishes of Axl Rose, for a change.
The music came about by accident. Slash, Duff and Izzy were sitting in the living room near the fireplace (they had no tv), where Slash was playing the intro to "Sweet Child O 'Mine", while Izzy and Duffy played the chords behind it. Axl was upstairs in his room and listen to them, began to write the letter. Slash guitar that sequence classified as a "personal exercise a bit stupid," but to his surprise, the next day, when they were rehearsing in Burbank Studios (doing a pre-production), Axl wanted to touch again what they were playing the night before . Soon, it became a song, and when released made a big success.
