Thomas Pridgen on Drums

@dayiiv Well yeah, but that's what makes a good musician, technique and making the riffs of the song mesh with your drums to create a song. Granted Pridgen has amazing chops, he's all over the place. As much as I love chops, I as a musician love to hear those chops executed in a way to help create a better sounding song without overkill.

hey man i completely agree with you! you're not the only metalhead believing in playing from the soul, that's why even though i MAY be a true metalhead, i still love musicians such as thomas pridgen, jake shimabukuro, (could name you hundreds more), basically musicians from all genres who feel the music they are playing

at last, a kindred spirit. im also sick of metal heads who feel they have to justify listening to anything that isnt pantera. i like listening to kansas carry on my wayward son because its a good song, not because its on guitar hero and not because its funny cos its cheesey. i just like it.

im into music in general, mostly im a metalhead, that's my first love but as i have grown as a musician i have discovered other forms such as jazz and prog. i really wanna learn to play ragtime piano but i have to learn any kind of piano fist. lol
