  • Mr. Peanut, (Vincent Trasov) ran for Mayor of Vancouver in the civic election, November 20th, 1974. When asked why he was dressed as a peanut he answered, "Only nuts run for mayor". The story was published in 1976 by AIR, a small press run by Bertrand Lachance and Arthur Richardson, "The Rise And Fall Of The Peanut Party", AIR 27.
