And midi, I am talking about all kinds of music such as rap/trance/dubstep. I don't understand how this is even in need of discussion.

Yes, live instruments is the better route to take but times are changing man. Saying the online course is completely useless without even knowing what all is involved is just dumb. And who says you cant create music in your bedroom? lol so dumb..
