The first aluminum Apple Cinema Displays ever, introduced by Steve Jobs at WWDC 2004.

Including the introduction of the first 30" ACD, which was an industry first.

These displays use S-IPS panels, the best at the time, and CCFL backlight. The displays are all matte.

  • The displays are amazing... but really, really expensive! The majority of Mac Mini customers must use PC displays.

  • I miss my 23" ACD only because I loved the matte screen finish, but realized it was getting old and the backlight was trying to tell me that it wanted a nice rest and had to upgrade to the new 27" ACD. I have to say the new 27" looks a lot better as far as colors go, but gloss is very annoying and not good for a professional like me who looks at the screen X amount of hours a week. Sorry apple, but you need to bring back matte. Leave the gloss to the consumer level macs...

  • Its fun that displays have not evolved since Apple invented the 30 inch display in mid 2004! 2012 will finally be the year that its technically possible to have a higher resolution display with minimum 60Hz thanks to Thunderbolt and/or AMDs fast HDMI.

  • My life is now complete. I have 2 x 30 Cinema displays on the newest mac pro. 5870 and 5770 video cards.

  • @Skylight00000 You can get one now on Amazon for $1,200.

    REPLYING TO OLD COMMENTS FTW.
