I decided the last animation didn't really show much and updated with this one that displays more of the 3D aspect of the data. The jagged edges that you see around the DEM are a result of stretching the data and a quirk in the animation software.

In this video I show that it is possible to create a full geo-referenced Digital Elevation Model (DEM) using Microsoft's PhotoSynth and a few GIS tools. This video is just the result of the process and is not a tutorial.
