Funny how you decry our dependence on oil while you wear clothes with oil-based synthetic fibers. NEWSFLASH: If you live in the US and you're not Amish, you're an oil consumer! What are we supposed to do, make the Saudis and the Nigerians eat the environmental risk for out lifestyle?

Besides, the Gulf will be back to normal within the decade. I'd bet my life savings on it.

We are talking tens of millions of gallons . Yeah right...there's still oil in Alaska after 21 years, and that spill was a "drop in the bucket" compared to this greed created catastrophe. You better save your life savings for a can of tuna.
