Whether they are a positive contribution to society or not is irrelevant (the BNP are clearly NOT a positive contribution). The fact of the matter is if the BNP or any other party with equally (or greater) stupid views are not allowed to peacefully protest without police or other politicians interfering a vital boundary is removed. Law-abiding foreigners, who are here on holiday, [contributing to the income of this country] or who are working and paying their taxes, should not incite violence in any right-thinking human being. So, what you are saying is that just by being 'foreign', they are not allowed to exist because 'others' may be incited to violence against them? This whole country was founded on immigration, people coming in, and people moving out [emigration], therefore, we are all 'foreign'.

@wayneleon1000 The problem is you could say that the presence of foreigners in this country incites violence in others(I believe to be 10% of the uk pop.). Giving them the recognition as a party stops democracy being stunted (remember they did get 514,819 people voting for them or 1.83% of uk pop.), It also allows the media to show them as the racists they are. Not that I don't agree with the rest of your sentiments however...
