As much as im a HUGE MPC fan....... The turntablist won by a mile!. Just more exiting to watch. Mind live MPC sets rock, but if your gonna scratch get a turntable!
Samplers for sampling, Decks for scratching. Maybe im just too old skool?

both of them are very good.. each has a diferent purpose though.. when it comes to scratching its only for turntables. fuck cd players, fuck mpcs fuck everything. mpc is a great tool though. only love for both of them..

great beats and improvising but... it takes 100 times more skill to scratch a turntable than to work the buttons. Having a good sense of rhythm is one thing, but the ability to scratch and work the cross fader with precision is an artform. I've been trying for over a year to get my chops on turntables and I've been playing piano for 40 years, guitar for 10 years.
