watch the video:

Ingredients:
1 to 2 cups
assorted sliced and chopped fruit. Citrus fruit always! Pineapple, mango, star fruit optional. Other good choices are apple, nectarines, kiwi fruit, melon

1/4cup
sugar, simple syrup, or triple sec

1 cup
white rum. flavored rums like lemon, or raspberry work well.

1
750 ml bottle red wine. White wine is good too.

1 to 2 cups
juice. Use pineapple And orange juice. Guava juice or nectar if you can get it. OR substitute "tropical" fruit juice blends for th guava juice.

Stir the sangria and chill for 2 hours. Can be used right away, the 2 hours helps chill the drink and let the flavors blend.

Serve over A LOT of ice in any glass you want!

If you live in NY then I wonder whats the craze, it seems like a huge TREAT when they make it over there when I hang out with him and his buddies

  • Thanks for sharing the video!

You're right,It does seem like a huge treat to people? Maybe the word"sangria" sounds so much more exotic than having wine! Or, more likely we like to get trashed and say"But I was just drinking wine!" lol

  • now that looks tasty! thanks

  • It is! I have to make more, I missed most of that first batch.

  • You ALWAYS make the best drinks! I could use one of those about now, not just a glass, but the whole pitcher...lol

  • Martinis one day, Sangria the next day!

LOL, whenever we do get together, we're not going to remember much of the visit!
