Ira Chaleff discusses how to enable our immediate supervisors to bring important information up the chain of command to leaders with whom followers may not have established a direct relationship. He also brings up the possibility of gaining the supervisor's support or tolerance for bypassing the standard chain of command. This is the sixth clip of seven from Ira Chaleff's presentation as part of "Conversations in Transformational Leadership," hosted by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2008. Ira Chaleff is author of the classic management text, "The Courageous Follower: Standing Up To & For Our Leaders (Berrett-Koehler, 2009) now in its 3rd, revised edition.
