To support NASA's commitment to improve aviation safety, the Icing Branch at NASA's Glenn Research Center has developed in-flight icing education and training aids for pilots and operators. The goal is to assist pilots in their decision-making abilities by providing information backed by research and by partnering with regulatory agencies and pilot organizations to ensure that the material is relevant and practical for each intended pilot audience.

  • I also picked up ice enroute LOWS-LOWW on a C-182, a few years ago. It was an adventure, I do not want to experience again.

  • Very informative but NASA seriously needs to hire actors for these videos. These people made me cringe with their bad acting and I found it hard to pay attention to the content.

  • Thank you for posting this. This is bar-none the best video I've ever seen for icing encounters. This will surely save lives.
