This is a video I made for my Electronic Literature class where we have to take some sort of written literature and turn it into some sort of electronic literature (such as a powerpoint, video, or hypertext) and have it support the author's original mean, or completely subvert it.
For my project, I take a video of Hitler addressing the people and added excerpts from the book "On Moral Fiction" as subtitles.
My class read this book earlier in the semester and we all thought that John Gardner, the author, was just trying to shove his personal ideas down our throat and basically tell us that it was either his way or the right way. So, I did this video for my project because it undermines the original meaning, emphasizes our opinion of the book. However, halfway through working on this video, I realized that the loudness and seriousness in Hitler's speech, combined with the subtitles, helps illustrate how strongly Gardner believed was good art and literature in his book.
I have to admit I got the original video of this speech Hitler makes from ReichLowe, and here is the link to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtG7Wa188dg&feature=related , but I didn't ask his permission because I did not know at the time I would be posting this on YouTube. I will only keep this up until I get my grade on this assignment, and then I'll delete it. So, please don't remove this if it goes against copyright infringement. If it does, I'll delete it as soon as I can.
