Dr Anand Krishnamurthy, a renowned Implantologist from Mumbai, a specialist in sinus augmentations and sinus elevations demonstrated a Piezo surgery mediated Lateral window sinus lift and grafting using a mix of Autogenous bone taken from the symphysis by trephine drills,.

The collected Autogenous bone was bone milled and made particulate and mixed with a Alloplast to add bulk prior to the grafting of the elevated sinus.He recommends always an out-fracture of the window prep and uses the piezo surgery for the lateral window preparation.

In this case since there was sufficient remnant alveolar bone, he performed a simultaneous sinus lift, graft and immediate implant placement of 2 threaded implants to avoid the 3rd stage intervention and also to speed up the treatment duration phase.But this protocol is not recommended foa all the situations and should be decided with meticulous treatment planning.
