  • David Barton is such a kook.

  • Here's a sermon on how to beat your slave. Here's a sermon on how demons cause disease. Here's a sermon on how to execute wayward sons and promiscuous daughters. Here's a sermon on women as property. Here's one on pacifism.

Oh wait, sorry, that last one was clearly Jesus just being metaphorical. Carry on.

  • The best line:"The Bible has much to say about astronomy" Yeah...all wrong. This is a joke...right? This guy is a comedian doing a bit...right? Please tell me he's not serious.

  • David Barton is a straight-up liar!

  • @whoo689 And they do. He's rather popular with them.

  • Seven Mountain Strategy. Look it up. Barton just spoke about this on one of his latest radio shows.

  • So that's where Barton is getting the information that current issues all go back to the Bible - from 200 YEAR OLD SERMONS?

  • Keep it in your church.

  • What is this crazy-man talking about?!? The Bible has much to say about transportation, astronomy, taxes, patriotism??? Is this guy nuts?

  • There is no god, which is why the church and state should stay separate: The Christians who want to control Washington are mentally ill.

  • This is embarrassing Does he happen to have a sermon on critical thinking skills? I think his audience might need to hear something about what the words "critical thinking" means...and I don't think little Davie here is capable of delivering the goods on that one. What a mockery of both history and religion. Shameful.

  • I'm wondering: he keeps associating himself with Xtians of times long (Long!) past: "We were preaching about (X) even then!". Does he similarly associate himself with the crusades, heretical trials, witch burnings, etc., vis a vis say, the Malleus Malificarium (sic) and similar works?
