Why are parents over protective? We have another perspective. We dont see ourselves as controlling. We see ourselves as here to give you direction. Until you can walk alone with confidence. As far as face book... YES THERE IS AN EPIDEMIC. I need your young opinion on something. What do you think about a 13 year old girl who does a myspace page and writes "call or text me anytime".

Well, I guess I agree, when looking from another persepective- that parents aren't really overprotective- I see your flow. Well, as for my young opinion, I understand that this girl actually has a facebook, however- I don't really think that posting her phone number to everyone is a great idea. I can see how she thinks its private and all- but in reality any ol' perv can find it out, and well, phone numbers they pretty much give away anything! So- I see what she's thinking,, but its not great!

my parents where over protective but i told them if your over protective i will rebell and go do the stuff i want to do in college so i can do what ever i want to now plus if you get some good information that your parents dont want there friends to find out works really good, also known as black mail so good luck!

Yesss, parents are too overprotective, ofcourse cause they care about you, but at the same time, your kids are rotting of boringness at home! Let us have some fun!! Some reasons could be, scared they are gonna get raped, boys getting girls pregnant, religion, or just mean strict parents who want they're child to have no memories when they grow up.-____-

Facebook: I like knowing how everyone is doing with my Family and Friends. No matter what with the good comes the bad and you may get a stalker or unneeded drama. I have Facebook on all day but may look at it five times a day. If you have an active life and would rather be living in it and not living in the computer then you'll be fine and have a happier life. If your living in facebook and you know what is happening to everyone, well your addicted to facebook and need an Intervention quick..

my mom is soooooo frickennnnn overprotective!! i asked her if i could go to six flags theme park and she said i could go. then she found out we would not have a parent with us and she freaked out!!! so now im probably not gonna go :((((((( i have no idea why parents just cant loosen up!!!!!!!!?!?!

I hate facebooks, but that is just because I am a guy. Girls on the other hand love to and have to text or whatever. So its alright to have a facebook.

i understand what you mean... parents really just need to slow down and realize that we are growing up. btw i see nothing against having a fcbk...its actually a great way to stay connected with your friends and family...(besides phones.)
