1/5 Scale SisT Fw190D-9

Stills pictures and video of first engine run ( 09/02/11 ). Just completed today, but for C of G checks and a couple of minor adjustments. The carbon spinner, stiff though it is, is flexing at certain RPM, causing vibrations. It needs a strip of carbon tape in the weak area to make it more ridgid before rebalancing.

Josef "Pips" Priller Flew a 190 D-9?? Or have you just use the Markings of his A-8???

@Lee78072 This is 'Pips' D9 markings, as supplied by the customer. The pilot in the cockpit has had a head sculpted based on a wartime photo of 'Pips'

Here in Germany you would get arrested when you show a Swastika on a RC Powered Plane!

@Lee78072 I prefer American planes myself, but the Fw190 was for a customer. That's why I built the B-17G, P-47N and Vultee Vengeance for myself which can be found amongst my other videos.

A fantastic detailed model that look 100% like the real Fw109D-9 thank you for posting such a detailed model, May I ask what paint you used that was fuel proof? I'm in the stage of detailing my KMP ME109E and will post it on YouTube. Cheers :)
