Tony is sitting facing the restaurant door and each time we hear the door chime, we see through Tony's eyes who has entered, however the final time we hear that chime we only see blackness...that's what Tony sees because he's dead.

I subscribe to the "blackout was the audience" theory. The whole Bobby and Tony discussion in the boat, about how you never see it coming and it goes black? That's us. We never saw that sudden ending coming. We were waiting for something else to happen and it didn't. So we were whacked. It's over for us.

I loathe self-important writers who mess with the audience as he has in this ending. And then goes away so no one can reach him. PFFFT! Screw you, David Chase! You are JUST a writer, get over yourself.

I think Tony lived, Chase (In my opinion only) wanted to emphasize the fact that Tony would never have true peace or happiness. His eyes constantly behind him

guys, no offense to whoever thinks that Tony Soprano is dead, but: how can you be so sure that Tony is dead if you didn't see his dead body or a bullet getting through his head?

All the "evidence" showed in this video is based on suppositions: neat job, but I think you can even compare Sopranos to Star Wars if you start to care about ALL the details** (I was kidding).

ANYWAYs: the finale is left open so people are FREE to believe whatever they want to! :) you can see what you want!

i think the ending was bullshit after watching the whole seasone i would think that they owed it to the audience to make a difinative ending weather tony dies or not .its a cop out to leave it open, it only benifits david chase not the fans that supported the whole 6 seasons,its a tv show not a subject for debate now i dont care if he died or not i just think that david chase wants a safty net to come back to if his future work fails!!! if it ended like that in a book i would have burned thebook
