Sri Lanka in denial over war crimes

The UN says over 40,000 Tamil civilians were killed during the last stages of the 30-year civil war in Sri Lanka. NGOs put the figure at over a lakh and fifty thousand. The UN also says that the Sri Lankan military committed war crimes. But the Lankan government is in denial with defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa saying, "The figures you are quoting are too high."

  • everytamil likes to keep LTTE alive to kill muslims+singalse, as far as Tamils are concerned, they supported Terrorism and the LTTE is not finished yet but other parties would not like to tarnish the Tamils' urge for Terrorism as freedom. I am totally against killing of any kind by anybody, these activities are not allowed in this civilised world so lets keep punishe hiding terrorist, what is more disturbing is the use of heavy artillery against the armed makkal-padais + child-fighters

  • @deadleader1 You see, everybody likes to keep LTTE alive for their survival, as far as Tamils are concerned, they never supported Terrorism and the LTTE is finished but other parties would like to tarnish the Tamils' urge for freedom as Terrorism. I am totally against killing of any kind by anybody, these activities are not allowed in this civilised world, what is more disturbing is the use of heavy artillery against the unarmed civilians including children.
