the images must be in ".CDI" format. if you got bin, there´s a tool to make it .Cdi.
bin2cdi is your man.

Looking good. I found nullDC after Chankast refused to run a number of games I had, like RE: Code Veronica and Crazy Taxi. Only problems with it currently is it doesn't support USB controllers yet, so you gotta do everything with a keyboard. It's already WAY better than Chankast.

Use Xpadder, it´s easy to config (just bind Joystick axies and buttons to the emulator defaults keys) and it have force feedback and all!
