  • @mikemck123 He couldn't be ruder than Friels. Surely the manner in which we communicate truth is part of the truth. I'm personally quite appalled.

  • I dont believe helping the poor gets you into heaven... but i do believe its whats gonna give you crown... not bashing tony campolo.

  • @cowbelltg continued- Tony Campolo,on the other hand seems to think we can just love the world unto salvation without confronting the world of their sin. This is wrong also.Their is no salvation without repentance from sin and all the food in the world won't make up for it.

Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the sick, but don't forget to preach the unadultrated Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ unto every creature, both rich and poor.

  • What we have here is 2 men who have picked and chose what we should major on as Christians, rather than majoring on the volume of the Book.Todd Friel wants to major only on the preaching of the Gospel, while ignoring a Christain's duty to minister unto the poor.We are not saved in the performance of this duty, but we are called to be a blessing to the down trodden.

  • I'm a Christian and this guy embarrasses me.

  • @Chyla98 Amen!!!! I managed about 1 minute of this drivel. Sadly this guy seems to be a bit of a lemon (bitter and twisted). Campolo's message on issues such as abortion (as far as I got in this video) seem good to me.

  • A straw man argument is counting the word "poor" listed in the bible when many other verses speak of poverty. Try oppressed, needy, hungry, etc..

Taking things out of context is isolating sound bites, then going on long rants to say what you think he is saying without the whole thing.

"na na boo boo" is for 2 yr olds not mature, wise men of faith. "But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy." Jm.3:17

  • @ChristusVlCTOR The above is not even a comprehensive list... if we just take the verses and put them in context, we're bound to have well over 2000 verses talking about the poor, oppressed, needy, etc.

  • Poor 205 times in 197 vs Oppress 23 times in 23 vs Oppressed 38 times in 38 vs Needy 38 times in 37 vs Afflict 36 times in 35 vs Afflicted 55 times in 54 vs Fatherless 43 times in 43 vs Widows 26 times in 24 vs Sick 88 times in 87 vs Hungry 30 times in 29 vs Thirsty 17 times in 17 vs Naked 47 times in 45 vs Destitute 8 times in 8 vs Strangers 80 times in 79 vs Stranger 131 times in 125 vs Beggar 3 times in 3 vs Alms 13 times in 13 vs TOTAL 881 times in 857 verses in the KJV
  • So this guy takes a couple of sentences said by Tony Campolo and criticizes him for it? Where is the context? This Todd Friel guy is clueless and stupid. Absolute waste of time. Luckily, I only listened to a few dozen seconds.

  • Sorry Mate your twisting this. I'd like to hear an interveiw between youself and Tony. He has a far more fruitful life than you buddy. It,s sad when Bono has more compassion for the neady than a Dickhead like you.

  • @ingridrbar: You're very bitter dear. Perhaps you should listen to some Tony Campolo sermons!
