I don't mean to sound bad, but George just left the Beatles, probably collected in excess of 50 million dollars....so it probably would have been better if he just donated a few million dollars from his own pocket than this concert

@the5aifer my grandfather remembered seeing dead people everywhere and protested but came to america before he was killed

@ Guido8943 brother if u bought 2 tickets for this concert den that means u have donated some money for my country when we were into some serious trouble.and for that i thank you from the bottom of my heart! and i don't have any words to describe or praise George Harrison's contribution when we needed it the most! i only pray that wherever he is now, he is in peace and i convey every single Bangladeshis love to his departed soul!

As a NYer who grew up with and loved all the Beatles, I bought 2 tickets at the Garden for a concert named "George Harrison and friends, benefit concert for Bangladesh" Who knew it would become, what it did for the history of benefit concerts and who he got to perform for a night I will never ever forget. I wished I would have saved the tickets and never let the usher tear them in half. I really miss George Harrison.

Patty all those people of the Concert and those who had helped that time take my cordial thanks .... For your help and the freedom fighter of our country I can say I am a Bangladeshi. I have borne in 1986 after the liberation. For the sacrifice of yours we have got the country....
As of this moment, I (being a bangladeshi) am STANDING in front of my computer, looking at the screen and saluting another one of our freedom fighters. Thank you George Harrison! bangladesh is forever indebted to you! may you rest in peace!

Not only does music suck nowadays, the musicians do too.
I can`t even think of a popular singer today who has made a rally to stop a genocide, poverty or famine in a nation.
