@pcbheaven Thank you very much for your help. Now I've made the 555 monostable circuit and it's working just like it should.

@thorpjoern you need to make another circuit, which is not difficult. go to my page (pcbheaven[dot]com) and then go into the "theory" section. Find the "basic monostable circuit" and make it. You may also want to read some theory of the 555. go again to the theory section and read the "555 theory".

@pcbheaven Do you mean that I have to make an other circuit with a 555 timer, or can I somehow add a 555 timer to this circuit? (Sorry I'm a beginner at this stuff)

i am seeking a way to dime an led (adjustable) this is for modeling, install the led and adjust until the led is 'just right' these will be smd and small leds
i am not electronics savvy any pointers would be great
