@Walkingcedar2006 See this is where the term "Soul" splits hairs. Looks have nothing to do with it, if he doesn't have soul, he doesn't have soul. If he does have soul, then he can sing a song like "Neither one of us wants to be the first to say Goodbye" or "Sexual Healing" or "I'm goin down" or "Try a little Tenderness" etc. I doubt he could. there is nothing wrong with not having any soul or having a souful voice. either you don't or you do. Amy winehouse is awesome, perfect example of soul

@MrButler124 von smith has incredible soul. I beg to differ. He has had it since he was a child, and he will continue to have it, no matter what he looks like -- amy winehouse be damned.

umm sir ya need to HAVE soul before you can DO soul. he can sing his but off butt off but he doesn't have soul. you want soul listen to xtina(yes she has does), amy winehouse, whitney, aretha, i mean there are SOME whitefolk with soul and there are SOME blackfolk without soul. just the way it is:)

haha you can here how big is voice in just his talking voice. i can't really tell most of the time if a singer his a big voice until they sing. i guess that separates the big voice from the epic voice.

I think this shows that Von is not only a remarkable talent but also a perfect gentleman.
I find the very courteous way he recalls the vicious snipe by Simon Cowell and is able to spin it into something constructive shows that of the two, Von is by far the bigger man. I look forward to buying stacks of CDs by him!

i didn't notice nerves in this interview but....oh well...i can't wait to see what he sings!!!!! i love his voice and passion for what he is singing!!!!!
