Aces High: Hanna at Scarpantos 09 Oct 1943

On the 9th of October, 1943, Seven American P38 pilots encountered a huge formation of German Ju87 "Stuka" divebombers near the Isle of Scarpantos, in the Aegean Sea. The Germans were attempting to divebomb a British naval task force that Winston Churchill had sent in to the area. The resulting slaughter left the wrecks of 17 German planes sinking into the Mediterranean Sea. Lieutenant Harry Hannah of the American 15th Air Force's "Red" flight shot down 5 German divebombers to earn "Ace in a Day" status, and Major Bill Leverette got 7! This movie was recorded "Live" while the free "Aces High 2" combat flight simulator ran the free "Hanna at Scarpantos" mission simulating Hanna's flight. The credits at the end of the movie include instructions for downloading the software and mission from free websites.
