Well, it's called lag! Nintendo has the worst internet wifi connection ever.
Example, at 4:15 i bumped into that player with green shells around me and nothing happens. :S
In Solo Play Gran Prix 50cc or higher, the shell would knock him off

Yeah I agree with you, Nintendo have the worst servers ever.
And also their way of bringing online game is so bad.
