Yes, I hear the difference, that's why I don't enjoy peeping tom. Mr. Bungle never repeated themselves, they always moved in different directions. If Patton wants to make a "pop" influenced sound, why not make it at least catchy? Patton is over, it happens, even to geniuses. I'm not saying this stuff is terrible, it's quite good compared to most of the crap out there these days, but it is also very forgettable. Not what someone would expect from someone in a band as great as Mr. Bungle.

Mr. Bungle needs to make another record. Patton is just repeating himself with this stuff, and each project he does becomes increasing convoluted and rehashed. Sadly I think Patton peaked 10 years ago. Fantomas is novelty at best too.
