  • eat your heart out food network, the good old days

  • He was accused of things but never proven guilty. Maybe people were just making it up because they were jealous that he was on tv.

  • cbss5000, thank you so much for these videos. I adored this man; I scheduled my Saturdays around this show. He demystified so much about cooking: olive oil, garlic, technique, the list goes on and on. It saddens me that he will never get the credit that he so rightly deserves.

  • @kearyjones im not sure about that. it does seem crazy allegation, so crazy that there may have been some truth to it. but I did like him and his show very much but not sure what myu opnion is now of him

  • I think it's Cooking Channel is airing classic ep of Julia Child's cooking series, this'd be a nice addition too

  • was'nt he in trouble for sexual deviant behaviour?

  • does anyone have his recipe for crepes that are done in a blender, with I think... it was with only 3 ingredients?

  • I loved this show. I always wanted to if he was still live but I found out that he died long time ago.. I grew up wathching him.. great man.

  • Jeff Smith taught me my passion for cooking. Mind you i started cooking when i was very young with my mother, but it was passion that was instilled those weekday afternoons inf ront of the TV, watching the Frugal Gourmet that filled me with the desire to great at what i cook now. I don't care of the things he was accused of, it was a great show and he was a great man!

  • I grew up watching him. Very high strong, extremely brilliant. Peculiar character, but not all that rare. I would describe his tactics as Bohemian. Some have called him "sloppy". I just think that he was at such a level of understanding of the cooking arts that he chose to go back to its origins time and time again. Critics, whom make a living not being good at their own trade criticized him for such. Unfortunately he invited it with his fear of rejection. He was a good man - He gave so much :)

  • @kearyjones yeah u thing he was a gay weirdo..he had a cool show with a great set.and awsome food

  • clay pots were used by adam and eve..great show..great cook
