People turn a blind eye to religion and all it's monstrous nonsence and teachings. Religion KILLS INNOCENT PEOPLE DAILY, as demonstrated here. It scares the crap out of people. So did the NAZIS. Humans are not as courageous as hollywood makes us believe. Humans will turn a blind eye when presented with a corrupt power structure. Religion should have been removed from human society hundreds of years ago. The next great social upheavel will set this time bomb off again killing 100 of 1000's.
