History Is Now

Professor Humphrey Ker presents the groundbreaking new historical documentary series History Is Now.

Using state of the art archeological techniques, the latest in expert opinion and an exhaustive re-evaluation of the facts, Professer Ker shines a light into the very darkest recesses of history as well as how recent news stories become historical fact.

This week: Lies And The Liars Who Tell Them, in which the Professor takes a long hard look at how history will judge the boomtime antics of Katie Waissel and Matt Cardle.

Humphrey Ker is an actor and comedian and one third of the comedy troupe The Penny Dreadfuls. He has appeared on Comedy Shuffle for BBC 3 and in the short film I am Bob starring Bob Geldof.

Formally a member of Edinburgh based improvisational comedy troupe The Improverts, Humphrey co-founded The Penny Dreadfuls in 2006 and performed their Victorian sketch show nationally including Aeneas Faversham, Aeneas Faversham Returns and Aeneas Faversham Forever at the Edinburgh Fringe. The Penny Dreadfuls' radio series The Brothers Faversham was broadcast in 2008 on BBC7 and the second series, More Brothers Faversham, was aired in 2008 on Radio 4.
