however the notion that europeans (not including the uk) dont understand or speak english is a very primitive american idea, remember at the end of the day, the joke is on the usa....not cultured people.

he was way too polite about the monkey brothers ( oasis) but then the guy is much more cultured and intelligent than those two , ( thats also a rare thing for an american)

I am really grieved at our so beautiful German language being so
little appreciated throughout the world :)
(I guess Hollywood made all these prejudices up during the war in their propaganda films and they are somehow still around).
And let me assure the host of the show that if someone speaks a foreign
language he actually k n o w s what he is saying,otherwise he wouldn´t be
able to say it...
