  • i liked speaker for the dead better, altho i still regard enders game very highly...I just enjoyed the more philosophical undertones w/ the sequel and the whole irony of Ender the Zenocide and Ender the Speaker for the Dead. phenominal read.

  • I have not had the honor of reading all of the enders part of the series, I have read Enders Game, speaker for the dead, and all the bean series plus other novel in between. Speaker for the Dead was great, very sad but completely different than the first novel.

  • @emailpobox666 I never said she wasn't sentient. I never said she was not intelligent. I will say her access to data was man made and man controlled. Her creativity was limited to whatever was suggested to her or whatever references were available in her data bank. Her true sentience, intelligence, and creative nature were whatever she was able to take with her into the body of young Valentine at the end of the series.

  • @stanparrish1 Sorry about of the typos

  • @stanparrish1 She was a sentient being helping friends. You claim her intelligence is not sentientience? Like I said your opinion of human intelligence is oner rated. Humans by far are simple dreatures comparied to Jane

  • @emailpobox666 She did take them to nowhere land but it was Ender that altered reality though his thoughts were somewhat undisciplined. Getting to nowhere land was impressive without the idea she would not have used the vast resources she had. She did become autonomous but not invincible.

  • @stanparrish1 My friend you have way too much optimism with regard to the capacity of humans

  • @stanparrish1 She altered reality almost achieving godhood. After she was dissed by Ender she became autonomous and needed no more direction. Hardly helpless. nd after she attained these powers was theoretically invincible ( though portrayed as dependent on the

  • @emailpobox666 No doubt she was intelligent. She just wasn't intelligent enough to use all the data she had access to in a way that a really creative person could.

  • @emailpobox666 She had access to unlimited information. Access to information and knowing what to do with it are 2 different things. All that info and she was helpless when they began to shut her down. It took an innovative human mind to find a solution. This is what gives humanity the edge. True intelligence.
