  • Genderqueer is a gender identity word, rather than a sexual orientation (like gay, bisexual, lesbian, queer, etc). Gender identity is the word for a person's internal sense of gender (maleness, femaleness, preferred gender role and gender presentation, etc). Genderqueer describes people who feel that "man" and "woman" are restrictive genders and that neither perfectly describe them.

  • i love your hair great video i plan to come out today i chicken out but great video ^_^

  • hair tutorial? maybe

  • Yay for genderqueers :) Oh and btw I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair!!!

  • Thanks, Jack. I too was familiar with the term Pansexual but had not heard Genderqueer before. Thanks for taking the time to explain it and for the great video!

  • That's a very clear explanation. I guess that Pansexual describes people who feel that "gay" and "straight" are restrictive sexual orientations and that neither perfectly describe them. People confuse Genderqueer and Pansexual but the former describes a gender identity and the latter describes a sexual orientation. Pansexual people are attracted to Genderqueer and androgynous people as well as to male and female people.

  • im guessing you're born biologically female, and want the transition to a male? so are you more attracted to males or females?

  • hi.. what does genderqueer mean? im like totally lost
