@barnettles1 Cheating is what they did. When a ball is to be kicked for goal (for a penalty or conversion), the ball in play must be used. Wilkinson intentionally chose 5 brand new balls and switched them whenever he kicked. That is intentionally braking the rules. That is cheating. That is not in the spirit of sport. Yes sides are always offside and infringing, but England do it more than any other team. If there was any justice, points should have been docked from England.

@Firefly0100 you mean switching the ball because the best kicker in RWC history has said the new ones are unreliable:regrettable but a technical infringement at best. Cheating is a strong word normally applied to actions clearly beyond the rules materially influencing the result. An example: teams who are offside at every nearly every breakdown and consistently getting away with it (Richie? - great player but I call him McOff as in side). ABs compensating by all being off this RWC it seems

happy to admit Australia had the better team for close to twenty years, but not thirty. I have one english and one aussie parent and lived half my life in either country, but Aussies are one-eyed on most things, particularly sport. On that front I am 100% English. Not much point me sharing that opinion with you if you are aussie as you will probably lack the perspective to process it. Good luck to the wallabies AND england in the RWC at the weekend
