how to make the armor
1) complete the ENTIRE companions questline.
2) talk to eorlund gray mane (the smithy at sky forge) and make sure he says something about kodlak's soul doing something to the skyforge that he can make ancient weaponary
3)make your armor
note: you may need steel smithing perk. thumbs up so everyone can see

My only problem with this armor is it's lack of pants, if it had something that covered the leg it would be my favourite armor.

@zrhtemplar I was told once you armor reaches 567 it stops. Sure the number can go up, but it doesn't mean it's stronger.

Hey, I like the ancient armor too, did you used any smithing mods besides learning all the smithing perks? improving this armor so much couldn't have worked so fast, so easy (I know the smithing-enchanting-alchemy trick), also does it benefit from the daedric perk if it does at all? Thank you!

@OpticalGreen No game modifiers at all.. i have all perks,smithy 100. i used gear with % bonuses on smithy + alchemy pots and that is all.
