  • i loved him in that :D he got aul dev down to a t :D

  • I checked it out, just type in "Liam Neeson unveiling Statue of Michael Collins. There is a lot of Polish People in Ireland at the moment. Alas, because of the economy have gone back to Poland. "JP 11" is one of my heroes..

  • @liamthedream I wish I could give this multiple thumbs up, but youtube will only allow one. Thank you for sharing that bit of information! That's very interesting, and you were indeed lucky to have such an opportunity. I agree that Alan should have gotten an oscar, though I think that about everything he's ever done. :)

  • Studying about De Valera, will now constantly remember him as Snape.

  • That maybe so but I honestly feel that Rickman got it spot on,.

  • @liamthedream Yeah. De Valera's voice is very difficult to replicate, because of its unnatural lowness.

  • When I watch the movie, I think that I am looking at DeValera, especilly where he reproached Michael Collins(Liam Neeson) for swearing. Some people always said that DeValers should have being in a religious order. He went to daily mass in a little Chaplel on Fitzwilliam St. which was only 2 minutes from Government Buildings and did not present a security problem for his Body Guards.

  • @liamthedream

You must be a big lucky that you had that chance.

Alan is a fantastic actor and I like him as DeValera.

He made that I know something more about history of Ireland, however I come from Poland. Greetings !
