Greenville, SC - 8/13/04

Recorded at "Up Close and Personal with Mosie Lister and Friends" at the 2004 Grand Ole Gospel Reunion. Producer Charlie Waller selected David Hester (Dove Brothers), Buddy Burton (Statesmen/Florida Boys), Josh Garner (Florida Boys), and Andrew Smith (Dove Brothers) to join legendary Blackwood Brothers tenor Bill Shaw in the Mosie Lister classic he made famous with the Blackwood Brothers while performing on Arthur Godfrey's Daily Radio Show in 1954. Certainly one of the highlights of the 2004 GOGR.

Impromptu quartets such as these continue to be some of the favorite features of the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion.

  • Bill Shaw was 80 years old when he sang in this video. Not bad for a senior citizen, eh?

  • @fpoasec Amen. His voice hasn't really changed even as he's aged. Very impressive.
