  • And here I was thinking it was a completely made-up ass-pull of a gameplay mechanic for Metal Gear 2. The more you know!

  • lol look it's Josh gates from destination truth

  • What the crap?! since when do you know so much about sand? lol

  • it sings because of high levels of silica in the sand bonding elements together. when a strong wind of leg in this case shakes or moves it, it starts makin a weird noise. its like a person bending a saw. it screams and moans and what not. normal sand is about 20% silica, and singing sand is much higher at 80-90% silica

  • Where is this? Basin Head? We are going to PEI tomorrow, I have to go to this beach

  • aww, I used to live so close to there I lived in stanley bridge but now we live in charlottetown

  • loll what a beautiful place:)

  • My cottage is only about 15 minutes from Basin Head!

  • its so great at basin head. I Live in summerside Pei so its a bit of a drive to get to that beach

  • lol, and what's funny is that the sand actually does make those noises!!
