@BigDaddy6270 Sorry, I was actually tired myself by the end of narrating it. Lol. It required so many takes, that I lost my enthusiasm of recording my voice. Oftentimes when speaking the narration, I would run over into the next step, and have to hit delete and start over again.

@kalessaradan- Can you please tell me the width of the LED strip?

What type of 12v batteries are you using? I bought brand new 12v alkaline A23's to power my LED strip. I just got the LED strips from formula-j and used the testing method as shown in the video, with a single battery and it does not work. Am I using the wrong batteries or did I get faulty strips?

@AerialZero1 A23 are what I use. Did you try connecting the wires to both ends of the batteries. The wires aren't labelled + or -, so you might have them connected to the wrong ends. In the past I had a faulty connector in one of the sections one time. But only once. I would try connecting each 1 ft strip to the 12 volt independently. You may be able to figure out if one of them is faulty. But honestly I can't help. Electronics can be buggy, but I have been able to test these in the past.

The 12v batteries are in the original battery compartment, after you have completely dremeled the battery compartment open. You have to dremel almost everything out, but be careful not to mess up the slots that the battery door hooks into.
The AAA are too long to go into that compartment.

I am enjoying watching how you mod your discs as I am planning on doing the same thing :) Just a few questions:
1) What mm is your EL wire?
2) Where did you get your 3v inverters? I didnt see any on the EL wire website..
3) Did your pieces of LED each come with quick connects?
4) Did the LED strips come with the connection wire for the end connecting to the battery pack?
Thanks for any advise and answers you can give =) Please post Part 3 soon, I cant wait to see how to finish!!! =D

@AerialZero1 Replying for everyone's information.
1) I used 5 mm wire from ELWirePros. They make a smaller diameter in extra bright, but the larger diameter regular wire glows just as bright as the smaller diameter extra bright.
2) Just posted those in the description and in a post up above.
3) The EL Wire ends with a quick connect attachment, as does the inverter. The inverter has a quick connect on one end and two wires on the other end (hot and neutral). The LED strip has two wires.

@kalessaradan
4) The LED strips have a power cord that connects to the strip, and ends with a hot/neutral wire. You just need to solder these to the appropriate places in the circuit diagram. Part 3 will have a diagram showing the exact placement of in the circuit of the batteries, switches, etc. and where the soldering will occur.
