Carl Sagan would not agree. His point was always that we SHOULD cherish and revel in the wonderful parts of being human. We're insignicant COSMICALLY, but we are not insignificant upon this Earth. And human life itself, is not insignificant. He was speaking in scales, not for or against ANY political ideology.

Because I am a Methodological Naturalist as that school or thought evolves, adapts, and always seeks to find the natural cause. Supernatural causes are irrelevant as they are both impossible to prove and disprove and thus a waste of time. I also enjoy how you lash out at others and accuse them of laziness and neglect for not taking your extremely opinionated statement seriously. Perhaps they were busy caring for their fellow people despite their differences unlike you.

Carl Sagan was well respected Scientist, Instructor, Writer, and Public Figure with numerous qualifications. L. Ron Hubbard was a poor science fiction writer who likely stole other people's work. I fail to see any similarity. This is like comparing a lunatic with cardboard sign to a government official.

Sorry this is late. Busy replying to the hateful replies. Hope you had a great Christmas. Once again I want to thank you for taking time to discuss your beliefs with me. I'm Curious - do you have any experience with in Christianity? Have you ever read any, small part of the Bible? The part you read, what did you think? Do you any kind of belief in God? Have you ever talked with a "REAL" Christian - not a "church member", but rather someone who lives the life they profess to believe?
