I'm Christian but less in the "the bible is the truth" and more in the "I believe most of what is in the New Testament, and the rest is either corrupted over the thousands of years or not meant to be taken literally to begin with."

I'm not sure about what I believe in, but I'm positive you just abused those verses from the Bible. Yeah the Bible is about peace, love, and forgiveness but even God has those things that he can't condone people for. (eg. the seven deadly sins)
