At Christmas, a tiny sea shell turns a lonely life around by speaking through its unique beauty that God is with us, "Immanuel".

This song was inspired by shelling on Sanibel Island. Single available on CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jeffandjennynelson
May God bless you,

Well, the ocean in December doesn't really change
In the summer or the winter the beach remains the same
The tides still rise and then subside, their treasures to unfold
But every day there's something new and glistening to behold
It was Christmas morning as I took my daily walk
To start the day beside the waves, wishing God could hear my thoughts
Seemed year by year this loneliness was more than I could stand
But soon my life would turn around by one shell in the sand
At first glance I saw it dance when tossed upon the shore
I raced through brine to grasp my find, cause I've lost the prize before!
Divine design, etched tiny lines, like a scroll of mystery
Swirling crown sweeping down a jewel of the sea
For such a gem, within my hand, it had a master's touch
In this universe I'm a spec on earth; could He care for me that much?
The salty breeze whispered peace, from this tiny shell
God hears, and God is near ... I heard, "Immanuel"
Immanuel, Immanuel, gleaming from this tiny shell
God hears, and God is near ... I heard, "Immanuel"
