@Afonsocool23: They're used for breading. My father raised them. They're worth way too much money to slaughter after the fight. Besides, bull meat is too tough to make good food for humans. Only good for leather and pet food once they are no longer good breeding animals. Then they will be quickly killed in the slaughterhouse. Now you went and made me hungry for a nice steak!

just for you to know that the bull suffer way more in the slaughterhouse (where it is taken after the fight) than in the arena

My grandparents are all from the Azores, and I'm so glad the bulls are not killed.
I attended bullfights in Terceira way back in 1985 and really enjoyed the Suicide Squad boys. They're very brave or very drunk . . . or both!
