Laughing gas is a type of dental sedation used by Dr.Glasmeier to help patients cope with dental anxiety. There are multiple types of sedation that Dr.Glasmeier offers to help reduce or minimize dental anxiety throughout treatment. Nitrous oxide is the one of the mildest forms of helping a patient reduce anxiety levels but still proves to be very effective for minor procedures.

  • Soon I have to have a tooth extracted. Not looking forward to it,mainly the deep anesthetic needles then bone crunchingly ripping a molar out of me with ' dental pliers' whilst fully conscious. How I wish I could have a mask placed over my face and be told to breathe deeply, and relax and drift away...to 'wake up' with the dentist smiling at me and telling me its all over! Sadly here in the UK it is no longer generally available except in hyper- expensive private clinics and hospitals.

  • what gas makes you sleep? or is this it?
