Adam Yarian & Stephanie Trick play their stride piano duet arrangement of Clarence Williams' I Found A New Baby [composed by Jack Palmer and Spencer Williams (1926)] at Sue Keller's 5th Annual Ragtime Piano Concert at the Harald Viking Lodge Concert in Tinley Park, IL
Yamaha pianos furnished courtesy of Ortigara's Musicville, Chicago Ridge, IL (708) 423-7910
Adam and Stephanie - a thing I have noticed on virtually all stride and ragtime two-piano arrangements is that the bass is muddy - basically there is too much going on in the bass. I would structure these things more like a piano duet, with one player sticking to the higher frequencies.

This is fantastic. This two-piano version reminds me of the brilliant playing by Marian McPartland and George Shearing on their album, "Alone Together."

Wow, in answer to prayers, a mating of piano masters, Trick and Yarian. Can your blood be circulating and still not give them a standing ovation?
