@LaRezNar i disagree, they arent just on top of the lip. if you get them often, you know what they FEEL like, not just look like.

coldsores only appear onTOP of the lip, thats when you know it definately is a coldsore, if its just around or near the lip it may be acne, people get it all the time.

Do you suffer from painful cold sores? I did too for a very long time. I got them when i was a young child and struggled through my childhood years, shying away from people at school cause i had disgusting cold sores on my lips that had people asking every 5 minutes"what's that on your lip". I was tired of living my life like this! Finally i found a way to take control of the situation and reduce my outbreaks to 1 a year and my outbreaks last only 1 day now.
